1. Scope of this notice
This notice applies to the public Artesian institutional website. It provides information about the service and contains no contact form, newsletter sign-up, analytics, advertising pixels or embedded third-party media.
The ARK website and the Artesian product portal are separate services with their own privacy notices. The sign-in link leads to portal-beta.artesian.cloud; it does not add registration, authentication or a sign-in session to this institutional website.
2. Data that may be processed
The site is delivered as static pages through Microsoft Azure Static Web Apps. Requests to the hosting service include technical information such as the IP address, requested resource, request time and browser information. The page code does not maintain visitor accounts or a visitor database.
The contact links open your email application. If you send an enquiry to enquiries@artesian.cloud or a privacy request to enquiries@ark-energy.ie, the recipient receives your email address and the information you choose to include. No message is submitted through a form on this site.
When you select EN or IT, the first-party artesian-language preference cookie stores that language choice so the site can remember it on later visits. It contains only the selected language, not an identifier or tracking data.
3. Purposes and legal bases
Technical information supports delivery of the requested pages, site security and diagnosis of service problems. The controller’s legitimate interests are operating and protecting the website and responding to enquiries. Information in a privacy request is used to handle that request and meet applicable data-protection obligations.
The language preference is used only to remember the language you select. The Artesian page code does not perform profiling or automated decision-making.
4. Recipients and international transfers
Microsoft provides the Azure Static Web Apps hosting service. Enquiries and privacy requests are handled by authorised personnel and the email and IT services used to receive and reply to messages. Information may also be disclosed to public authorities where required by law.

5. Retention
Retention depends on the purpose of the information, the handling of an enquiry or privacy request, and applicable legal obligations. The site code does not save contact submissions or a visitor history. The language preference is stored for up to one year from your latest language selection, unless you delete the cookie sooner through your browser.
6. Your rights
Subject to the conditions in the GDPR, you may request access, rectification, erasure, restriction or portability of your personal data, and you may object to processing based on legitimate interests. Where processing relies on consent, you may withdraw it at any time without affecting earlier processing.
You may also lodge a complaint with the Irish Data Protection Commission or with the supervisory authority in the country where you live or work. Contact the controller using the details above to exercise your rights.
7. Changes
This notice is updated when the site’s functionality or personal-data processing changes. The date above identifies its latest update.
