Connectors (Standard plan)
A connector brings one source into your instance. In the Standard plan, the monthly fee depends on how many connectors are active. Bands are cumulative: you pay for every band up to the one that contains your total.
In the Enterprise plan, connectors are unlimited and included.

Example: 12 active connectors cost €350 + €500 + €800 = €1,650 per month.
Usage
Usage is measured in data points, a data point being one value of a time series at one moment. Reading drives the bill: for each hour, Artesian counts the greater of the data points read and 3% of the data points written, and the monthly total is the sum of those hourly figures.
In the Enterprise plan, tiers are cumulative: each price applies only to the data points within its tier.

Example: on the Standard plan, a typical month of 1 billion data points costs €1,000 in usage. Enterprise subscriptions usually read far more, and the tiers lower the average price as volume grows: 25 billion data points cost €2,500 for the first 2.5 billion, €1,050 up to 6 billion, €600 up to 10 billion and €1,950 for the remaining 15 billion, €6,100 in total, about €0.24 per million.
How much of the invoice is usage
Usage depends mainly on how many series your applications read, how much history they read and how often. Loading large feeds rarely drives the invoice, because written data points count at only 3%.
The profiles below show typical monthly usage, with an example of the reading behind each, and the share of the monthly invoice that comes from usage, without optional modules. Usage can change from month to month, and Enterprise subscriptions can add the Predictable Billing Option to cap the monthly invoice.

Optional modules
Modules add capabilities to either plan. Anything in beta, a whole module or part of one such as the SII integration, is discounted by 20% while it remains in beta.
For data quality management, the monitored series in a month are the highest number of series with an active data-quality assignment at any point during that month.

PODs under management (Metering module)
With the Metering module, a monthly fee applies for the PODs (points of delivery) you manage. Bands are cumulative. The SII integration and distributor-invoice retrieval each count as one connector.

Enterprise options, on request
- Predictable Billing Option: a monthly cap on your base and usage fees, priced according to the cap you choose.
- Zonal redundancy: your instance is deployed across multiple Azure availability zones in its region and keeps running if a zone fails, scaling out on the remaining zones, with zero recovery time and zero data loss (RTO and RPO of zero). We size it with you around your requirements.
- More than 100,000 PODs under management.
Not included
- Data licences: you license data directly from providers, and Artesian does not resell data.
- Connectors to your own proprietary systems, which ARK can build as a separately quoted consulting engagement.
